SHAC Events, Fall 2009

This fall, the Student Honors Advisory Council (SHAC) organized a number of outing to cultural events in Cleveland.  Tickets (and sometimes food!) are free or greatly reduced in price for Honors Program students.  The events included:

Flamenco! Juan Carmona Quintet Saturday evening, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, part of the Cleveland Museum of Art's Viva! & Gala series.

Saturday November 14,  Fabulous Food Show at the International Exposition Center including a food demonstration by celebrity chef Guy Fieri.


VIVA! &Gala series, Garth Knox performance at the Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights, Sunday, November 8.

The Story of Baby20, presented by Cleveland Public Theatre and Cleveland YMCA's Y-Haven Program. Friday, November 6.

Dinner and theatre, Friday, October 23rd, The Mystery of Edwin Drood at Playhouse Square, and dinner at Saigon, a Vietnamese restaurant nearby.

Thursday October 8,  Cleveland Italian Film Festival, "Miracle at St. Anna," at the Cedar Lee theater, including a pre-film party hosted by the Cleveland Italian Cultural Garden Foundation.

Puerto Plata: Music of the Dominican Republic performance,  part of the VIVA! & Gala series, Tuesday, October 6, Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

Saturday October 3 dinner and show. Dinner at Lopez, a Southwest/Mexican restaurant, followed by the performance of Ten More Minutes From Cleveland, by local playwright Eric Coble, at the Dobama Theatre in Cleveland Heights.
